Raising awareness of Lynch Syndrome
Lynch Syndrome is a condition that can increase your risk of developing cancer to 80 per cent over your lifetime. The genetic change seen in Lynch Syndrome can lead to more abnormal cells developing which then multiply and become cancerous.
Up to 300,000 people are thought to have Lynch Syndrome in the UK, but only five per cent of them know they have it.
Find out more on the condition as part of last week’s awareness day and read Emma’s story.
