Foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) awareness month
September is FASD awareness month with a focus of activity on 9 September – the date of which was chosen to reinforce the message of going alcohol-free for the nine months of pregnancy. Throughout September, Council is working with partners across health, education and social care.
With more than 400 different conditions that can co-occur as a result of it, FASD is a growing area of interest for anyone who works with children and young people or adults.
