Join us to raise awareness of type 1 diabetesJoin us on Friday, 14 November to raise awareness of the symptoms of type 1 diabetes.

People living with type 1 diabetes need lifelong insulin treatment to manage their condition and keep them well. More than 90 per cent of children and young people in England who have diabetes have type 1 diabetes.

Early recognition of symptoms can prevent children and young people from developing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) – a serious and potentially life-threatening complication.

This Friday we are raising awareness of the ‘4Ts’ – the four key symptoms of type 1 diabetes that every family should know: Toilet (frequent urination), thirsty (constant thirst), tired (low energy), thinner (unexplained weight loss).
