We are now offering an NHS ear syringing service to help patients experiencing discomfort or hearing issues caused by earwax build-up.
What is Ear Syringing?
Ear syringing is a safe and effective procedure provided by the NHS to remove excess or impacted earwax that may be causing hearing difficulties, discomfort, or other related issues. Using specialised equipment, we gently flush the ear canal with warm water to clear the wax, restoring comfort and hearing clarity.
Common Signs of Earwax Build-Up
You may benefit from our ear syringing service if you experience:
- Reduced hearing or muffled sounds
- A feeling of fullness or blockage in the ear
- Discomfort, itching, or irritation in the ear
- Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
Who Can Use This NHS Service?
Our NHS ear syringing service is available to patients registered with Aylesford Medical Practice, however, it may not be suitable for everyone. This service might not be appropriate if you:
- Have a history of ear infections or ear surgery
- Have a perforated eardrum
- Experience ongoing ear pain or discharge
