You only need a doctor’s note if you are unable to work and are ill for longer than seven calendar days. Your employer will provide you with an SC2 self-certificate form for shorter periods of illness.
You can submit a request for a sick certificate using e-consult.
If your request is approved, the practice will aim to provide a not fit for work certificate (sick note) within 5 days. We do not provide certificates for the first week off work as you are entitled to self-certify with your employer.
