Dr Kiran Chandan
Kiran is the Senior Partner and full time GP at Aylesford Medical Centre. He has previously worked as a hospital Doctor in stroke, geriatrics and as a general physician. He joined Bromley Common Practice in November 2014 and qualified as a GP trainer in February 2015. He has trained to start insulin when needed in diabetic patients and performs dementia and elderly checks. He was also nominated as Dementia Lead for Bromley. He has a special interest in stroke and diabetic treatment and administers all types of joint injections and minor surgery. Dr Chandan was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2022 for delivering outstanding care. He joined Blackthorn Medical Centre as a GP Partner in January 2022.
Helen Lakeland – Practice Manager
Helen started her career in the NHS in March 2014 as a Medical Receptionist at Aylesford Medical Centre. Throughout her time at Aylesford Medical Centre, she went on to undertake many positions such as Administrator, Medical Secretary, Assistant to the Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager and finally Practice Manager in January 2021. Helen left the Practice in May 2022 but returned as Practice Manager at Aylesford Medical Centre in March 2023. Helen will be pleased to help you with any non-medical matters relating to the Practice.
Esther Beegan – Deputy Practice Manager
I’m sure most of you will recognise me from my time working with our wonderful Reception Team at Aylesford Medical Centre since 2021. I absolutely love working with this great team on Reception and will continue to do so while I take over the role of Deputy Practice Manager. My life, before working here at the surgery, was quite different where I was working for 15 years as an air stewardness. My career in the air has given me a wealth of customer service experience and not to mention some lovely travel experiences! I look forward to taking on this new role with a fantastic team at the surgery where we all will continue to work together to ensure its future improvement and success.
